About Michele

As a Professional Life Coach and Personal Empowerment Workshop Leader, Michele often urges her clients to set goals that require them to step outside their comfort zones. So, in December 2011, Michele followed her own advice and set two personally meaningful goals that forced her way outside her comfort zone. These two goals were to travel to a far-off exotic land by herself and to discover someone or something that would enable her to develop and deepen her spirituality in a profound way. Michele had a strong and persistent “inner knowing” that this someone or something would come in the form of Yoga. India, considered by many as the yoga capital of the world, seemed like the perfect place to accomplish her goals simultaneously.

Fast Forward to February, 2012……..Michele boarded a Virgin Atlantic flight to Delhi, India. Her final destination……Parmarth Niketan, an ashram located in the foothills of the Himalayas and situated on the holiest river in India, the Ganges. Michele resided at this ashram where she attended the week long Annual International Yoga Festival. Michele was eager and open to experiencing as many different forms of yoga during her time in India with the hope and intention of finding one or more that deeply resonated with her. Little did she know that she did not need to look any further than the first class she attended……Kundalini Yoga and Meditation taught by Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, recognized by many as the world’s leading Kundalini Teacher. It was in this class, with this teacher, that Michele discovered what she had traveled half way around the world to find…..a sacred science and experience that would not only resonate with her on a deeply spiritual level, but that had the capacity to heal, strengthen and elevate human beings on all levels.

Deeply moved and inspired by her experience in India, Michele returned to the states and immediately enrolled in the Kundalini Yoga Level One Teacher Training with lead teachers Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa and Gurushabd Singh at Golden Bridge, New York City. Michele became a KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor in 2012. Since then, she has completed all five of the Level 2 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainings.

Michele’s spiritual name is Kanwarprem Kaur which means “One who sees God living within all and serves others so that they see the divine within themselves.”
